Thanks to the ongoing support for Metro Imaging, the Grand Prize Winner of this year’s IAFOR Documentary Photography Award will once again be offered the opportunity to participate in the Metro Imaging Mentorship Programme.

Since its inception a decade ago, Metro Imaging’s Mentorship Programme has had great success in providing talented emerging photographers with invaluable industry experience, exposure and inspiration, while helping them to refine and challenge their working practice. Over a 12-month period, Metro Imaging will work with our Grand Prize Winner to develop and support their practice by constructing a Mentorship Programme that best suits their needs, and introduce them to relevant industry experts to gain advice and build their network.

We look forward to working with them to develop and support the career of this year’s talented winner. We would like to thank Metro Imaging for their commitment to assisting in the professional development of emerging documentary photographers and photojournalists from around the world.

The Grand Prize also includes a £1,000 cash award from The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) and a nomination for the prestigious Joop Swart Masterclass by World Press Photo, as well as fantastic prizes from MediaStorm and Think Tank Photo.
