My name is Alessio Pellicoro, I was born in Taranto (south Italy) on August 10th 1994. I lived there for the biggest part of my life until I had to come to Rome for studies. I studied photography for three years at IED Rome (Istituto Europeo di Design) and I graduated on July of this year (2019). Obviously my passion is photography, but I'm passionate to all of the things which are part of the huge world of visual arts (from classical to modern and contemporary art). I approached to photography in a worthless moment of my life, when I thought that Architecture was what I want for my future. After two years spending time on books of physics, engineering and history of architecture, I found some old dusted cameras of my father in a broken bench in the basement of my house. So, just like in a movie, it was love. Thanks to all of my university professors and especially to the support of my family, I realized that Photography would be the reason of my life and the only way for me to see and describe the world around me, and as Luigi Ghirri would said “...the world behind my house", as the great masters of contemporary photography of the Italian landscape did in Italy and also in the entire Europe (Luigi Ghirri, Gabriele Basilico, Olivo Barbieri, Guido Guidi... some of my fundamental inspirations). In conclusion, I want to become a great Photographer... and I'll do all for became it.
