Born 23.06.1993, Russia St.Petersburg/Tallinn Graduated with a BA in philosophy and currently am writing a PhD thesis about photography and the body experience. Photographs exhibited at 5th Biennale of Contemporary Photography in St.Petersburg, 2019. I'm interested in the way photographs relate to personal identity, the presentation of oneself and the discovery of one's own body. After taking part in several protests in 2019 I started to wonder how the pictures in the news we usually see actually relate to the feelings of most of the people in them. What we see might be the most active, exciting pictures, but the person may feel fear, apprehension, discomfort... In my series of photographs of the Shiyes protesters' camp I tried to focus on the routine of the camp to help understand the life there.
