Was born in Surgut and got a degree to become an electrician in Ivanovo. Today lives in Saint-Petersburg and leads the supporting group for HIV-positive people and their families. He got infected sexually 8 years ago. Due to his status, Maxim was fired from the duty of wireman.
Colleagues were afraid to get an infection through everyday objects and chief demanded to write a resignation notice. Then the owner of the flat where Maxim lived found his medicines and asked him to look for a new accommodation.
In May 2017 Maxim got into trauma surgery because of a burn. Due to the lack of treatment burns started to rot and the doctor said: ” You are rotting because your hepatitis C passed on AIDS”. Maxim had to go to administration.
“How do you want people to treat you if you treat yourself this way? All these stigmas: you’re addicted, you’re a prostitute.”
I know one girl, she’s saying:
“No, I won’t be with a positive, (even if she is a positive) because they all are drug-addicted or something.”
“Well, are you addicted?”
“No.”
“Why is he supposed to be so? Even if he is…”
